Michal Příhoda is a speed skier from the Czech Republic racing in the S1 class.
Michal was born in Trutnov in the north of Czechia. Michal started skiing as a 4 year old and begun his Alpine racing carreer 1979, when he was 11. He raced for 8 years, to '87.
Much later, 2004 Michal started his quest for speed. He begun like most in the SDH class, using downhill equipment, but already next year he switched to S1.
In Les Arcs 2008 Michal joined the 200 club, skiing 206.42 km/h. Next year in the Speed Masters at the same track Michal managed to ski 212.14 km/h.
Michal has also beat the 200 limit in Verbier 2013 when he made the speed 204.77 km/h.
When the winter season is over, Michal turns from skier into a seasoned Tennis player.
